Honoring Others First is designed to highlight athletes who are going above and beyond to honor others through each day, match, and game. Similar to our daily Honor Posts, Honor and Respect strives to share encouraging and uplifting stories about individuals who are doing good in our communities. This program shares that same mentality.

Lilly Luft:

Iowa Women's Wrestling

Sophomore Iowa Women's Wrestler, Lilly Luft utilizes her platform to encourage the younger generation through her sport. Lilly has a long list of accomplishments and honors of her own from her wrestling career, but possibly her most important honor has nothing to do with her wrestling. Lilly's brother, Logan Luft was killed in an ATV accident in 2017. Since then, Lilly was a part of establishing Logan's Law which enables the purchasers of hunting and fishing licenses to declare as organ donors.

Dual record of 4-2 scoring 17 points

Ranked nationally in the top ten of her weight class towards the end of the season

2023 Soldier Salute Runner-up

Recorded 16 technical falls and three pins
